Screening for Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Industrial Science, Management, and Geography (JSIMG) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and preventing all forms of plagiarism in scholarly publications. All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review stage.
Screening Procedure:
-
All manuscripts are checked using reliable plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or similar tools.
-
The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%, excluding direct quotations and references.
-
If the similarity exceeds this limit, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the violation.
Types of Unacceptable Plagiarism:
-
Copying substantial portions or the entirety of another work without proper attribution.
-
Self-plagiarism, i.e., republishing one’s own previously published work without disclosure.
-
Manipulating data or dishonestly altering sources.
Authors are fully responsible for the originality of their manuscripts. JSIMG reserves the right to take editorial action on any manuscript suspected of plagiarism, including rejection, retraction, or notification to the author’s affiliated institution.
